More Kulambu :

Ingredients

Buttermilk – 5 cups
Green chillies – 4
Cumin seeds – 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1 tsp
Ash gourd(white pumpkin) – 1 cup
Shredded coconut – 3 tbsp
Thoor Dal – 1 teaspoon
Raw Rice – ½ teaspoon
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 10
Oil

Method

1. Soak Thoor dal, cumin seeds,coriander seeds, raw rice and cumin seeds in water for 10 to 15 minutes
2. Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric to the buttermilk and mix well & keep aside
3. Grind coconut,green chillies & soaked items to a fine paste
4. Add salt to butter milk and heat on a low flame
5. Take it from the fire and set aside
6. Fry mustard seeds & curry leaves in pan & cook white pumpkin with it
7. Add the coconut paste to the above.
8. Finally add warm buttermilk and heat for approximately 4 minutes
9. Best taste with plain rice
