Rasam :

Ingredients

Tamarind paste – 5 tbsp
Dry chillies – 2
Curry leaves
Cumin seeds – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Tomato – 1
Cilantro( coriander leaves)- 1/4 cup
Asafoetida powder
Salt – 1/4 tsp.
Pepper – 1 tsp
Garlic – 3 pieces
Coriander seeds – 1/4 tsp
Water – 3 cup
Oil

Rasam

Method

1. Add tamarind paste,water,salt,smashed tomato and asafoetida powder in a vessel.
2. Grind dry chilly,coriander seeds,cumin seeds & pepper. Add this grinded items into the above mix.
3. Put one teaspoon of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds & curry leaves. Pour this into the mixture.
4. Finally add smashed garlic & bring it to boil.
4. Remove it from flame. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve it with hot cooked rice.
